Ink
Properties: Offset printing inks are transparent, therefore the
color of the paper will effect the appearance of the ink. Generally,
the ink color will appear darker on a colored stock. Problem combinations
to avoid are light blue ink on yellow stock (ink will appear green)
and dark blue ink on gold (ink will appear black). Overlapping inks
can create similar problems. |

Screens
and Solids: Avoid placing a photograph or screen tint in
an area that is close to a heavy solid of the same color. The effect
is dramatic, but it is very difficult to run on a printing press
unless the screen is printed separately from the solid. This requires
an extra press pass and plate for that color.

Ganging
Orders Saves Money. Order jobs together that have common
ink colors. If we print two or more jobs of the same color and sheet
size at the same time, we will only charge the color wash and color
ink mix once.

Color: Consider using a spot color to emphasize your message without
adding a lot of cost. Choose from hundreds of ink colors on a variety
of paper stocks.
